Abstract
Metabolic and pathologic bases of diabetic autonomic neuropathy are reviewed in patients. Pharmacologic treatment and differential diagnosis of systemic diabetogenic diseases are discussed including esophageal dilitation, gastric stasis, intestinal villous atrophy, cardiovascular lesions, sweating disorders, bladder dysfunction and impotence. Diagnosis is suggested by exclusion in the presence of vague symptomatology and specific diagnostic tests can be applied according to chief complaints. This publication has 32 references indexed in Scilit:
