The Controversy Regarding Recovered Memories of Childhood Sexual Abuse

Abstract
The authors discuss some of the factors that contribute to the intensity of the controversy regarding recovered memories of childhood abuse and suggest ways in which discussion of this topic could be made less polarized and more productive. They highlight briefly some of the key scientific questions raised by the phenomenon of recovered memories and offer several recommendations regarding clinical practice, research, and public policy.Keywords
