Abstract
Results from a Monte Carlo simulation of SU(2) pure gauge theory near the finite-temperature, deconfining phase transition are presented. The lattice is 113×4, and the data were collected at values of 4/g2=2.200, 2.225, 2.250, and 2.275 that approach the transition from the low-temperature, confinement side. The Wilson line-line correlation function was measured and the correlation length extracted. The data are consistent with a correlation length that is diverging according to the critical exponent of the three-dimensional Ising model.
