Enhancement of noradrenaline depletion in the cat spleen by phenoxybenzamine and phentolamine

Abstract
The noradrenaline content of the microsomal fraction of cat spleen was reduced by nerve stimulation. The reduction was greater in the presence of phenoxybenzamine and phentolamine, but was not affected by the presence of cocaine. The results suggest that phenoxybenzamine and phentolamine are able to increase the impulse-evoked release of noradrenaline.Keywords
