Abstract
2 short forms of the W-B Scale proposed in a previous study (see 21: 1313) of hospital subjects were checked in a sample of 100 more or less normal males. The 4-test form (Vocabulary, Comprehension, Block Design and Picture Completion) appeared to be better at the lower levels (particularly under 100 IQ). The 3-test form (Vocabulary, Comprehension and Digit Symbol) gave more accurate estimates at the higher level (over 120 IQ). Since both forms include Vocabulary and Comprehension, it would be possible after administering these 2 tests to estimate the level of intelligence and to be guided by this in determining whether to administer the 4-test or the 3-test combination.
