Abstract
Summary A new diuretic compound, furo-semide, has been studied in patients with renal disease. Doses of 40 mg intravenously were capable of producing large diureses of sodium, chloride, and water without adverse effects. Preliminary results with oral administration suggest that the drug may prove to be a useful therapeutic agent. Keywords
