Abstract
The temperature dependence of the cyclotron effective masses of three orbits in zinc has been measured in the temperature range of 4.2-11°K, and the masses were found to increase as the absolute temperature squared. The experimental results presented are in reasonable agreement with the theoretical calculations of Allen and Cohen reported in the following paper for the temperature dependence of the electron-phonon mass enhancement. The experiments were performed in the usual Azbel'-Kaner geometry. The zinc specimens used had optically flat surfaces and had ωrfτ as large as 45.
