Abstract
Shock Hugoniots for liquid argon are calculated using equations‐of‐state obtained from the Monte Carlo method and the Lennard‐Jones‐Devonshire cell theory, using an experimentally determined pair potential. Agreement with presently available experimental data is poor.Keywords
