Analytical Curves in Atomic Fluorescence Spectrometry

Abstract
The shapes of theoretical growth curves in atomic fluorescence spectrometry are calculated for several possible atomizer cell geometries, for several geometries of illumination measurement, for both line and continuum sources of excitation, and for several a parameter values. Factors relating the shapes of theoretical growth curves to experimental growth curves (analytical curves) are also discussed. Theoretical atomic fluorescence growth curves for hypothetical atoms having a parameters of 5, 2, 1, 0.4, and 0.1; for three different limiting cases characterizing the geometry of illumination measurement; and for both line and continuum sources are given.
