Abstract
Serial injn. of 14 Triturus viridescens and 3 Necturus maculosus with horse serum as antigen gave no indications of sensitization of animals to the antigen in the intact animals, nor did the isolated heart or intestine show signs of sensitivity when treated with horse serum or with histamine. American anurans apparently cannot be sensitized to foreign proteins and do not show histamine shock. Keywords
