Abstract
Such studies with amts. of tissue of the order of 0.1 mg. dry wt. present a number of difficulties. The amt. of damage caused by cutting, diffusion of gas and substrate, and various methods of estimating the amt. of material are discussed. For certain non-homogeneous tissues the nucleic acid content (for the estimation of which details are given) may provide the most suitable index of the amt. of cellular material present. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
