Abstract
The recently proposed model Hamiltonian for a linearly conjugated diatomic polymer is studied in the continuum limit in which there emerges a field-theoretic Dirac Hamiltonian, exhibiting charge fractionization into irrational numbers, just as in the discrete model.Keywords
