Abstract
Adult [female] albino rats were starved for 12-16 days. Circulating gonadotrophins fell precipltously whereas the content of hypophyseal gonadotrophin remained as high as under normal circumstances. This is in direct contrast to the usual situation in which pltuitary gonadotrophin content accurately reflects the amt. released into the circulation. Keywords
