Energy Dependence of theK+-Meson Interaction Cross Section

Abstract

$K^{+}$ interactions in nuclear photographic emulsion have been studied at three effective mean $K^{+}$ energies: 54 Mev, 95 Mev, and 140 Mev. The cross section for inelastic interaction is found to increase slightly with energy. The scattering appears to be $s$-wave, $T=1\mathrm{}$, at low energies, with $p$-wave scattering becoming appreciable above about 100 Mev.
