Abstract
Semen and male accessory organs were collected from rabbits and analyzed. Castration and hypophysectomy resulted in the disappearance of fructose and citric acid. These reappeared on injn. of testosterone; also of gonadotrophin in the hypophysectomized rabbit. In castrated rats, there was a direct relationship between response of accessory organs in producing fructose and citric acid and amt. of testosterone injd. The fructose content of semen increased in alloxan-diabetic rabbits and was decreased by insulin. There was a relationship between hyperglycemia and fructose level. Keywords
