Abstract
The yeastlike phase of 17 strains of H. capsulatum was grown in a semifluid medium. Optimum growth occurred at pH between 6.3 and 8.1, at a temp. near 37[degree]C, and in a medium containing a mixture of organic N compounds. The O2 and CO2 tensions were of little importance. Keywords
