Cardiovascular Effects of Trazodone in Humans

Abstract
Trazodone's cardiovascular effects on humans are compared to those of the tricyclic antidepressants, monoamine oxidase inhibitors, and lithium salts. Trazodone induces fewer and less severe cardiovascular irregularities, especially compared to tricyclic compounds. This finding apparently results from a lack of interaction between adrenergic and anticholinergic effects with trazodone.
