Über die Kerasin- und Nervonfraktion der Gehirncerebroside und die Isolierung der einzelnen Komponenten

Abstract

The kerasin and nervone fractions from brain cerebrosides were resolved into their separate constituents by counter current distribution of the peracetylated compounds. The main constituent of the kerasin fraction was kerasin containing tetracosanic acid as the fatty acid component. In addition, 2 kerasins, containing tri- and penta-cosanic acid, respectively, were obtained. In a corresponding manner, the main constituent of the nervone fraction, namely nervone containing tetracosenoic acid, and the 2 accompanying cerebrosides containing penta- and hexacosenoic acid were prepared.
