Abstract
A new approximation procedure to determine the pair correlation function of a dipolar fluid is given. A family of approximations for the pair correlation function is derived to yield a Padé approximant to the free energy that has already been shown to be highly accurate for dipolar spheres. The family is parameterized so that it can reproduce whatever prescribed dielectric constant is most appropriate to the particular application being comtemplated. It can also be made to yield thermodynamic self‐consistency. Keywords
