Abstract
Computed tomographic (CT) scans of fresh and coagulated [human] blood in vitro and Ca and Fe solutions demonstrated that the increased absorption seen in [brain] hematomas was primarily a reflection of hemoconcentration. Ca plays essentially no role in this increased absorption; Fe makes a minimal contribution. In vitro studies of CSF indicate that CT scanning is insensitive to pathological elevations of CSF protein. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
