Abstract
A hitherto neglected nucleus is descr. in the cat. It is situated as a longitudinal cell column in the lateral funiculus of the 1st and 2d cervical segments of the spinal cord, ventrolateral to the dorsal horn. Its cells resemble those of the column of Clarke. The authors name the nucleus the "nucleus cervicalis lateralis" and from exptl. studies conclude that it sends its efferent fibers to the cerebellum and receives afferent fibers from lower levels of the spinal cord. Keywords
