Abstract
24 selectively-bred (F17 generation) maze-bright and 24 maze-dull (F17) [male] rats were tested to determine whether the dulls would show a greater spontaneous recovery of a previously (40 days) extinguished conditioned response (lever pressing). Differences obtained were in the direction predicted (greater spontaneous recovery by dulls) but small and statistically insignificant (at the 5% level of significance).
