Abstract
Numerical solutions have been obtained for the nonlinear heat conduction equations arising in the theory of thermal explosions. Explosion times are calculated for externally heated spheres, cylinders, and slabs of several explosive materials, and the results are shown to agree with experiment. This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
