Abstract
Laparoscopy allowed the diagnosis of asymptomatic pelvic schistosomiasis in 13 infertile women. The lesion was associated with dense pelvic adhesions in all cases, a defective luteal phase in 23.1% and anovulation in 15.4%. Atraumatic adnexolysis, antibilharzial treatment and the correction of the ovulatory defects were followed by intrauterine pregnancy in 46% of the patients.
