Abstract
Visco-elastic layer materials are widely used as the damping treatment to control noise and vibration characteristics of the panel structure. However, the effect of damping treatment can be considered by the structural damping coeffcient and this is diffcult when investigating the geometric dimensions and distribution of damping treatment. In this paper, applying the equivalent parameters based on shell theories to the damping layers, it is possible to simulate the finite element analysis of damping-layered panels on the vibration characteristics of the structure, and the reduced computational cost and the optimization designs for the reduction of vibration effect on the substructure model can easily be achieved. Keywords
