Abstract
Massospora levispora Soper pathogenic to the cicada, Okatiagana. rimosa (Say), is described. This species and M. cicadina Peck, the only species currently referred to this genus, differ chiefly in size and shape of the conidia but there are also morphological differences between the resting spores of the two species. It was found that the symptoms expressed by infected cicadas were similar to those reported for hosts of M. cicadina. Keywords
