Abstract
The photoion-yield spectrum of Rb has been measured over the wavelength region 425-665 AA using synchrotron radiation as a light source. Very rich and complicated resonance structures between 565 and 665 AA are resolved into nine Rydberg series converging to the five ionic states of the 4p55s and 4p54d configurations. Keywords
