Abstract
A simple model is used to examine the effects of preferred orientation on the parameters [sgrave]0 and k in the relationship [sgrave] = [sgrave]0 + kl −1/2 relating the tensile yield stress [sgrave] of a polycrystalline aggregate to the grain diameter l.Keywords
