Abstract
Eyring's theory of viscous flow has been applied to some mechanical properties of rubber‐modified polystyrenes. Yield strength as a function of orientation, temperature, of transition from ductile to strain have been shown to be consistent with the theory. The temperature of transition from ductile to brittle fracture as a function of orientation has also been measured and found to be consistent with theoretical predictions.
