Thermally stable coexistence of liquid and solid phases in gallium nanoparticles

Abstract
A real-time investigation shows that Ga nanoparticles in the solid [gamma]-phase coexist with liquid Ga at a broad range of temperatures, as a result of nanoscale confinement, Laplace pressure and epitaxial matching with the substrate.Keywords
