Abstract
The production of somatic antigen 1 is governed by temperate phage iota not only in Salmonella group B, as reported in the previous paper6) but also in groups A and D. However, in groups E, G, and H and in further groups which lack antigen 12, the relation between the production of antigen 1 and iota phage was not clear. Iota phage is a circular particle, 50-60mμ in size. Keywords
