Abstract
The basalt of Göbnehall in southern Sweden was dated by the K/Ar method. The calculated ages of the minerals and whole rocks vary between 128 and 165 m. y. A preliminary calculation of the corresponding isochron yielded an age of 163 m. y., that is, a Jurassic age.Keywords
