Abstract
Species (11) and 1 variety are described as new from the British Isles [UK]: Caloplaca ulcerosa, Lecanactis subabietina, L. umbrina, Lecanora quercicola, Lecidea carrollii, Micarea pycnidiophora, M. stipitata, Mycoblastus sterilis, Opegrapha corticola, O. pertusariicola (lichenicolous on Pertusaria leioplaca), Phyllopsora rosei and Sarcosagium campestre var. macrosporum. Their separation from other species, ecology and distribution are discussed. An apparently undescribed lichenicolous Tremella was found associated with M. sterilis. Pseudocyphellaria norvegica comb. nov. [Cyanisticta norvegica Gyeln.] is discussed and a key to the western European species of the genus, and those of adjacent Atlantic islands, provided. Lecidea erythrophaea and Rinodina efflorescens are reported from the British Isles for the 1st time, and the new combination Micarea peliocarpa [M. violacea (Crouan ex Nyl.) Hedl] is introduced. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
