Psoriasis in Kenya

Abstract
Among 1,230 new patients with skin disease be-longing to different tribes in Kenya, 32 instances (2.6%) of psoriasis were diagnosed. In most of the patients, the clinical diagnosis was supported by histopathological investigations. The occurrence of psoriasis appeares to be far higher than is usually accepted for non-white races. The findings are compared with those of other areas in Africa and with the Negro population in the United States.
