SUMMARYThis retrospective study of the painful stiff shoulder assesses the response to treatment in 130 patients. Therapy consisted of local corticosteroid injections, physiotherapy, or manipulation under anaesthetic. Little difference between treatments has been demonstrated, although it seems that early presentation leads to early recovery.
