Abstract
The intraocular pressure of 26 urethanized rabbits after receiving various drugs was tested by tonometer. A transitory rise followed by lowered tension was characteristic of atropine, 1-hyoscyamine, scopolamine and cocaine. Lesser lowering was produced by intraven. choline admn. and even less with methylene blue. Caffeine and histidine produced indifferent results. Dihydroergotamine "Sandoz" tended to lower tension. Intraocular tension was lowered in most animals, three showing increase and general symptoms.
