Abstract
A distorted wave treatment of charge transfer in M + X collisions is presented using a coulombic interaction between covalent and ionic curves. The theory is extended using a cut-off model to include the case of reaction as obtains in M + X3 collisions. In the first case, expressions for the total and differential cross sections are given. In the second case, the effect of the reaction on the charge-exchange process is investigated. Keywords
