The Coverage of Platinized Platinum Electrodes with Simple Organic Species

Abstract
The adsorption oi formic acid, formaldehyde and the “reduced ” species on platinized platinum electrodes was studied. A simultaneous determination of the number of coulombs and the number of chemical equivalents involved in the reduced species, showed it to be a two‐electron reduction product. Analysis of the solution failed to reveal any desorbed products.
