Abstract
A new endocardial catheter electrode (Medtronic model 6880) is described which can be used for ventricular pacing and for intracavitary cardioversion and defibrillation. Initial results in dogs and preliminary clinical trials in humans indicate that this catheter will extend the usefulness of electrical stimulation therapy for treatment of life-threatening tachyarrhythmias.Keywords
