Stimulation of Bone Growth by Short-Wave Diathermy

Abstract
1. The effects of short-wave diathermy on the epiphysis in the growing rat have been presented. In this small series of rats bone-growth stimulation was observed. 2. These observations have been presented as interesting experimental findings relative to the physiology of bone growth and to the problem of leg-length discrepancy. 3. It must be emphasized that no direct clinical application or comparison can be made. These observations or further studies using this method might be of value in the problem of leg-length discrepancy.
