Corticosteroid 21-sulphates in human urine

Abstract
After administration of 300 mg. of cortlcosterone or cortlsol to a man, the greater part of these two cortlcosterolds were found in the urine in ester sulphate fraction. Evidence that sulphate was attached to C-21 was provided by the similarity of chromatographic behavior with that of authentic cortlcosterone 21-sulphate or cortlsol 21-sulphate, electrophoretic separation for cortlsol sulphate and the reaction to tetrazolium being positive only after hydrolysis.
