Abstract
To decrease light reflection from the surface of cathode-ray tube (CRT) and liquid crystal display (LCD), anti reflection (AR) technology has been investigated. In this work, we demonstrate the use of high-quality two-layer AR films (luminous reflection under 1.0) using numerous micropores to create a low-refractive-index layer, which was fabricated by a layer-by-layer (LBL) self-assembled polyelectrolyte adsorption process and a brief exposure to acidic aqueous solution. Accordingly, high-quality AR film, whose luminous reflection is approximately 0.5, was realized by LBL adsorption using a very low-refractive-index layer with numerous micropores. Also, we created waterproof AR film by means of a thermal treatment. We propose a new method of fabricating AR films. Keywords
