Abstract
Term values of the He I-like spectrum of carbon, C V, are derived by using new measurements in the region below 300 AA and some previous observations at longer wavelengths. Ritz formulae and other relationships are established, permitting an arbitrary extension of the term system. The results are compared with available theoretical calculations of ionization energies. Part of the discussion includes He I and Li II.Keywords
