Results of Surgical Versus Non-surgical Treatment of Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm

Abstract

Indications for surgical and nonsurgical therapy of abdominal aortic aneurysm are reviewed. Preoperative diagnosis by aortography, associated risk factors and operative mortality are discussed. Nonsurgical therapy is indicated in cases of concurrent malignancy, pulmonary insufficiency or serious cardiovascular disease.
