An Examination of Factors Affecting Future Cohorts of Elderly Hispanics

Abstract

Trends in the Hispanic population and their relative socio-economic position in the future are examined through a review of education, occupation, income, and pension data. Civil rights legislation has had only modest benefits in reducing multiple jeopardies for current Hispanic elderly and may have less impact on reducing discrimination for future cohorts.
