An Experiment on Human Vitamin B 6 Deprivation

Abstract
An adult male lived on a purified diet and received all necessary vits. except B6. There was no evidence of a marked disturbance in N balance. There was no significant change in blood total N, nonprotein N, and amino N. The hemoglobin value fell during the exptl. period. There was an albuminuria. Toward the end of the deprivation period, the subject was depressed and showed mental confusion. There was a change in the white blood cells, involving the lymphocytes and neutrophils.Keywords
