Abstract
A singular perturbation theory for nonlinear Schrödinger solitons is extended into second order. An application is the calculation of the contribution of the radiation to the phase-independent interaction between soliton pairs, as suggested by Smith and Mollenauer [Opt. Lett. 14, 1284 (1989)].Keywords
