Synthesis and structures of neutral and cationic β-diketiminatoaluminium methyls†

Abstract

Trimethylaluminium with the β-diketimine H(LL) yields the aluminium complex [Al(LL)Me₂], from which the salts [Al(LL)Me(thf)][BMe(C₆F₅)₃]·0.5thf and [Al(LL)Me(OEt₂)][B(C₆F₅)₄]·0.5Et₂O have been prepared, and crystallographically characterised.
