Abstract
Diacetyl monoxime reacts with urea and substituted ureas in strongly acid soln. to form compounds that on oxidation yield yellow or red pigments. Of all the natural amino acids examined, citrulline is the only one found to give the test, which may be applied directly to the detection of citrulline in proteins. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
