Abstract
Summary The Zebra Finch, Taeniopygia castanotis (Gould) breeds in the irrigation area at Griffith, New South Wales, throughout the year except for some ten weeks in June, July and August, the coldest period of the year. The mean clutch size is 4.7 ± 1.1, though seasonal variation exists—the clutch, being greater in early summer than at other times of the year.
